Great Gatsby cake

I had the pleasure this week of making a Great Gatsby themed cake for the lovely Sara who was having a fab Gatsby inspired birthday party! Three tiers of vanilla cream cake, chocolate and vanilla butter bean and red velvet with white chocolate were baked then decorated in a beautiful black and radiant gold combo. The finishing touches were a sparkly black and gold ribbon with feathers to complete the Gatsby look 🙂 What a fab cake to bake and decorate!! Happy birthday Sara and happy cake times 😀 xx

Halloween cakes!

Well can you believe it….Halloween is creeping up again, how did it get to September already?! I’m now taking orders for all your fiendish cake needs, from ghostly ghoul cupcakes to pumpkin cakes 😀

Wedding cake time

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of making our friends’ Andy and Sarah’s wedding cake. A four tier cake consisting of vanilla, chocolate, and carrot cake sponges decorated in classic ivory fondant with silver and navy blue ribbon along with adorable bride and groom cake toppers made from sugarpaste. I feel so honoured to be asked to make wedding cakes so it was an absolute pleasure to do this one xx We also got to celebrate the big day too which was an extra special treat for us, we loved every minute 🙂 Congratulations darlings xx cake and smiles xxx

Vanilla cupcakes

Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things these little cupcakes were a great way to step back into the kitchen for some fun baking!! They were a present for a salon named ‘vanilla’ in ilkley xx delicious!! Xxx

Jojos is back!

Well hello everyone and a happy monday to you all xx I have some exciting news to share with you all… Jojos is back and ready for orders once more now my maternity leave is nearly complete. As you know I used to do my cakes alongside my full time job time allowing, but the other part of my news is that I will now be working from home doing my cakes alongside being a full time mummy to my little muffin xx Lots of cake ideas and pics will soon start rolling in hopefully so stay tuned for more cake news lovelies!! A treat for mama

Here’s a little treat I bought myself the other week, some gorgeous sparkly pink nail varnish!! Us momma’s work really hard and deserve a treat every now and again so when I saw this little treat twinkling at me the magpie in me couldn’t resist!! Happy Friday xxx

Pretty flamingo…

This gorgeous puppet was a buy I made just before bubs arrived…. I couldn’t resist… The beautiful pink feathers the turquoise eyes and those luscious lashes!!! Hopefully my wee bun will love her just as much!!…..talking of my bun…. Here’s some piccies… Cake, love and happiness xxx

Christmas cakes, marshmallows and cookies

Nom, nom, nom!!! I love Christmas treats and these are a few that were loitering around the house this crimble! Choc chip cookies, chocolate dipped marshmallows with sprinkles and coconut and of course the obligatory Christmas cake!! What a beautiful time of year!! X

Gingerbread house

Spectacular, spectacular!!! Well for years I’ve always wanted to make my very own gingerbread house; I’d dream about having one every year…. probably ever since I was little and this year as I was on maternity leave I actually got to go crazily creative and make one!!! I loved every minute of it and could have made a hundred more!! Love,love, love xxx

Christmas events

I know this post is severely late but hey better late than never!! Hope you all had a fab crimbles, I can’t wait for Christmas this year…. bubs will be nearly one!! Probably time to rethink the Christmas tree idea this year and find a child friendly or should I say bauble friendly alternative!! 🙂
