Ros and Matt’s 30th Birthday!!

This past weekend I had an amazing time celebrating two very special friends 30th Birthdays’ with lots of close gorgeous friends! We all excitedly packed ourselves off to East Barn, Friar Garth in Malham for a weekend of fun, relaxation and a fancy dress party to boot!  I cannot begin to describe how gorgeous the barn was; I was amazed at how well the barn was equipped and how beautifully comfortable it was..we’re talking underfloor heating jacuzzi bath, sauna shower plus many other lovely details.  I’ve added some pics below and a link to see more piccies of the interior!  So onto the cakey details…Matt and Ros asked me to do their joint Birthday cake: a mix of Alice in wonderland (the girls fancy dress idea) and 118 118 (the boys fancy dress idea.)  The cake was a mix of rainbow sponge, chocolate and caramel and double chocolate.  I loved this cake so much, especially as it was for my friends’ birthdays..Thank you so much to Matt and Ros for organising such a brilliant weekend, Happy Birthday honies!! xx

Hi sweethearts sorry its been a little while, I’ve been busy with cakes and trying to sneak a weekend away to rest; so here is a  little number that was an order from Scoops..A white lamborghini cake for a special birthday!  Hope you enjoy honies x

The Butterfly Rooms

The Butterfly Rooms in Saltaire is a gorgeous shop selling all sorts of hand-made collections and goodies (I’ve got my eye on a couple of beautiful pieces and a few cushions already!)  Angela also runs a spacious exhibition space upstairs showcasing a variety of artists work.  She is hoping to have a preview evening soon and has asked me if I can supply some little cakes if the evening goes ahead…of course I would love to!   Excitingly I will also be joining other artists in December and exhibiting my children’s illustration!…Eek! I can’t wait! x

Bandages ahoy!

Ouchey! This fun cake was ordered for Cath who recently broke her leg (get well soon Cath!) Dave wanted a replica of her cast complete with little toes popping out!  I couldn’t resist adding the red sparkly nail varnish!!!  Enjoy sweethearts xx

Exciting news from jojos…my friends Matt and Ross are having a joint 30th Birthday weekend and have asked me to design and make them a joint Birthday cake; and I can’t wait!  The themes for the weekend are Alice in wonderland meets 118 118!  No mean fete- but my imagination is going into over drive!!  I’ll be posting the result soon! xx

Fast food cake with fries on the side please!   jojos now has boutique cupcake collections..The diner collection: cupcake burgers with edible sweet lettuce, biscuit fries, hot dog cakes and many more.

jojos has started pies!!

Ok honies so I already do make pies occasionally, but I’m going to try and perfect the best wheat and gluten free pastry I can! so if you fancy a change to cake..let them eat pie instead!! xx

An edible turbo charger!

An edible turbo charger was the challenge and an edible turbo charger was made!!  Borg Warner turbo systems were on the hunt for a cake to celebrate the grand opening of their new metrology lab and my friend Stephen suggested jojos to tackle the task!!  I feel very lucky to have been able to do this one…I’m really pleased with the results, enjoy honies x
